Email Support Groups Borderline Personality Disorder
BPD - Self Harm/Suicide List - is a list for those with Borderline Personality Disorder who struggle to cope with self-harm and either feeling or being suicidal. It is an unmoderated list in which anything and everything can be discussed. I created this list as an alternative to The Borderpd List which is moderated and has strict rules that prohibit the posting of details of self-harm or suicide attempts. On the BPDSHS list there are no rules. List members can post about details of both self-harm and suicide attempts. This list must be used at the list members own risk and each person should be aware before joining that there are no rules being enforced on this list. BPD-fightwithin "The group is for people diagnosed with BPD. Membership is restricted so as to keep the group safe for all. The group is for people at any point in their recovery. It is NOT intended to be a crisis line of any kind. Specific mentions of Self Injury or Suicide attempts are not permitted. We are looking for people devoted to their recovery. Members may chose to receive individual emails from the group, digest form, or no email-web only, where they would just go to the home page and check out the messages they want to and post from there. BPD-UpFromTheAshes "The list is intended for all those who suffer from BPD, whether they are at the beginning of recovery, well along into recovery, or anywhere in between. It is meant to be a safe place for those with BPD to come for support. List members may speak freely without fears of being judged, ridiculed or invalidated. Often I find that other lists concentrate on the devastating effects of BPD, without giving much attention to the hope of recovery. It is hoped that on this list everyone will find an appropriate place, and have a sense of belonging. Specific details of self harm are not to be discussed, however, general statements, such as "I feel like hurting myself today," are allowed." The Male Perspective You must be a male to join this group. "The list is intended for males who suffer from BPD, whether they are at the beginning of recovery, well along into recovery, or anywhere in between. It is meant to be a safe place for guys with BPD to come for support. List members may speak freely without fears of being judged, ridiculed or invalidated. Often I find that other lists concentrate on the devastating effects of BPD, without giving much attention to the hope of recovery. It is hoped that on this list, we'll see stories of recovery, in addition to discussions of the day to day problems that men with BPD face. I've created this group so that the guys who are affected may have a sense of belonging." Borderlines-4-Christ "The purpose of this list is to provide a Christian oriented support community for persons struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder. This is an inter-denominational group." Borderline Information Forum "This list is an information forum. List members may be borderline or non-borderline or professionals. It is hoped that a shared dialogue on the issues of BPD can benefit all who have been affected by this personality disorder. NOTE: This is NOT a support list. Posting to this list is to be kept to the issues and is NOT to take a social/personal approach." Borderline Personality Disordered Teenagers - (Teens With BPD) "This list is for those between the ages of 12-20 who have either been diagnosed with BPD or suspect that they may have BPD. It is also for those whose doctors may suspect this and not yet be willing to make a diagnosis due to age. There is also credence to the reality that the turbulent change experienced in adolescence mirrors some Borderline experience." "DBT Skills Discussion List is an unmoderated discussion list that provides support and a learning environment for members to share experiences and practice everyday-life effective problem-solving skills. DBT skills are psychosocial skills based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), developed by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D., University of Washington. This list, the DBTSKILLS-DG list, is different from many of the others in that it is not a support list as such. It is not a list for talking to others about what's happening in your life generally or stuff like that. It is a list that focuses specifically upon the DBT Skills and most list members do have Marsha Linehan's DBT SKills Training Manual. It is recommended that you get that book to be a part of this list. Then, once to twice a week questions will be asked, that are like homework assignments basically that each list member can then practice in their lives, experience and then write to the list about what they felt, how they did and what they experienced in a situation in life related to the practicing of the DBT SKills. So the list encourages this specific type of communication." Growthquest - "Quest is a list upon which borderlines, bipolars, sexual abuse survivors, anyone with any mental health issue is invited to discuss religion and or spirituality." Family Members Land of Oz - This list is for people who are coping with someone in their life who has borderline personality disorder (or traits of BPD or a similar disorder). This can cause much anxiety, depression, confusion, isolation, etc. This list is mainly for the significant others of those with BPD: married, single, gay or straight.
