My name is Wanda and I am a 44 year old female.

I grew up without much guidance in a family that was very controlling and incapable of allowing me to express my individuality. I have learned through self-education, and by the grace of God along with a few very special friends, the process of being and becoming who I really am. I feel it’s a choice one makes to grow and evolve beyond one’s current situation, and I enjoy encouraging others along this path. I believe that knowledge is power, and that empathy and understanding can go a long way in increasing knowledge and therefore a sense of power in one’s choices and in life in general. I’m an effective and empathetic listener and for me this has often made the most difference when I have felt depressed or discouraged – knowing that I am heard and understood by someone who cares. It is essential not to feel judged. I also write articles on personal growth that I distribute on the internet and share with other websites.
