My name is Gail and I am a 45 year old Female. 

I am a sufferer of Depression and have been for most of my life, but more severly since 2000. I have also have a daughter that has suffered from my depression. I am a 45 year old female living in australia.I would find talking with another depressed Christian could be very helpful, but am willing to talk to anyone. 

I have found my depression has affected a major part of my life where family , friends and especially church is concerned. It has made life difficult for all of my family, and made going to church in a country down very difficult. I have found that secular people take out the spiritual aspect of our humaness where depression is concerned and Christians deny the physical aspect. I am wondering if anyone else has found the same. The ones that have hurt me the most were Christians. I am sorry if I have offended anyone, but this has been my experience.

I am also working at a mental health unit, and have been exposed to beliefs and attitudes in which I disagree with, both where depression and Borderline personality is concerned. May I please mention a big thankyou to the annonymous account of the borderline personality disorder. This has helped me understand this with far more compassion than my working peers. It has just made more sense than anything else that I have read and gives a different aspect on how these people need to be treated.
