My name is Rebecca and I am a 34 year old Female. 

My husband and I have been married for 4 1/2 years. He was diagnosed a year and a half ago with ptsd as a result of severe childhood abuse. The last year and a half has been difficult, emotional, and educational. I have learned a lot about what it's like to live with the disorder that my Master's degree in Social Work could never teach me. We have found that people tend to shy away from you when you mention having a mental disorder. We receive support from my family but I have often wished there was more support available which is what prompted me to become an email volunteer. I am looking forward to lending an ear and a shoulder to others that we have found lacking for us.
