My name is L. Schaffer and I am a 48 year old Female. 

I am a 48-year-old female. Diagnosed bipolar in my early 30's and borderline in my mid 30's. For bipolar disease, I have taken various medications including lithium, Tegretol, Depakote, Prozac and Wellbutrin. I am currently unmedicated and have been for several years after being withdrawn from medication by my psychiatrist upon completion of an extensive course of psychotherapy. I have never had a psychotic break or been hospitalized. I still have fairly minor cycling but am fairly free from borderline symptoms. 

I am married with one grown son; have been married for 20 years. I have worked in a number of careers including accounting and real estate; I am currently a rare book seller. BA amd MA in psychology from UCLA.
