My name is Danny and I am a 50 year old Male. I am the Ex Husband of a sufferer of the BPD.

I am the ex-husband of a lovely BPD sufferer. We have been divorced for twelve years and have two children, both over eighteen and both very much in trouble. My efforts now are directed at aiding the kids .

After all of the years of wondering whether or not to kill myself every morning I found hope in the experiences of others. Little by little I realized that my biggest problem was that I did love my wife and children, very much, and that I was reacting normally to a very abnormal situation. The BPD in my life is very clever, very controlling and very much in pain, and the defeat and despair she has imbued in all of us has left its mark on all of our lives. But we, myself and the adult children , still have our lives, and I know that we're better off than many others in this situation. We all have the resources and the opportunity to be happy. And we have access to the knowledge we need to help ourselves and others, as others have done before us.
